Can everyone in my party ride the Moonshine Mountain Coaster?
This family-friendly attraction in Gatlinburg was thoughtfully designed to accommodate most ages. Children 2 and under are not permitted to ride, nor are pregnant women. View height and weight guidelines here.
Single and double cars are available. This means a young child can partner with an adult. Ride down the mountain one car at a time, and your party can meet at the bottom. If your family includes children too young to ride, we encourage you to visit our gift shop and cheer on other riders.
What is the best time of year to visit?
Moonshine Mountain Coaster offers seasonally themed experiences suitable for the whole family. Visit in October to experience Halloween in the Holler. During that event, the Thrills and Shrills ride is a spooktacular way to celebrate the haunted holiday. It may not be suitable for your young children to visit during those dates and times.
